A psalm of hope. Of David. April 29, 2021
Yahweh is a good God.
His mercies endure forever.
What do I do when I am wronged?
Treated unfairly and not taken into account?
Where do I go when no one listens to my plea?
When I am offended and unseen
I run to you. You care for me.
I do not know your way or where you are.
I do not know the mind of the Almighty.
If I search the east, I do not see you.
If I sail the Atlantic i do not find you.
No matter where I turn I cannot find your form.
Yet I trust you are ever present.
I trust your compassion for me.
So do not delay in renewing my heart.
Cleanse me with hyssop and blot out all my regret. I relinquish my hurt to you.
I choose to hope in you, Lord, my God.
I choose to trust that there will be better in store for me.
This cycle will pass away and I will delight in your favor towards me.
Do not turn from me and leave me alone.
Do not keep your love and favor from me.
Lord, do not turn your face from me.
Make your face to shine on me like the sunlight.
Restore my heart to the joy it once had in you.
You are the God of my life and besides you there is no other God.
Jesus, I love you!
Long live the King!
Long live the God of my life.
