Day 78: A Psalm

A prayer for repentance. March 19, 2022

My soul longs for you.

My soul longs for the living God.

I seek your face in humility for forgiveness of my sins.

It was your mercy that guided every footstep and your right hand held me up when I stumbled and staggered in darkness.

You pour on me grace—grace upon grace, yet I still stray away.

Forgive me of my folly and pride.

Forgive me for my lack of trust in you.

Deliver me from myself and my sins, lest I interfere in your will.

You are my salvation; do not delay in sending relief, make haste to me.

I bow my knee to you, knowing you gave me what I did not deserve and keeping from me what I did.

You are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. You show love even to the thousandth generation, forgiving our inquiry, transgression, and sin.

I am grateful for your steadfast love towards me, and the faithfulness you have shown.

Yahweh, I love you.
