He Still Loves Me

A prayer. Of David. October 5, 2021.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb?

Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.”
‭‭

Lord, You have never forgotten me.

When those who say they love me betray me, Your love sustains me.

You see all my afflictions and hurt.

You do not intentionally hurt me to soothe others; I am not a doormat, nor am I anyone’s fool.

You will remember me and restore me. You will guide me along the path I should take.

May I not mistake my emotions for Your will; I pray for discernment as I fast. I pray for peace will I sleep.

I pray for strength throughout my day.

I trust that all things work together for good because He still loves me, when others do not.

Lord, I give You—

My heart,

My emotions,

My thoughts,

My hurt,

My anxieties,

My soul,

My mind,

My body,

My joys,

My hopes,

My future.

They are in Your hands and so am I.

I will not fear because He still loves me.
