Uncertain

A supplication. Of David. April 21, 2021.

Search me, O God, and know my heart.

Try me and see that I do not have evil intentions.

Have mercy on me, for I am human and I forget. Remind me, remind me, dear Lord.

I do not trust in my power.

I do not trust in my wisdom, and not even my knowledge, but it is You that I trust.

Not my reason, not my understanding, but it is You that I trust.

There is still hurt in me. I still carry hurt in my heart. I am burdened, Father. See about me!

I am free, deliver me from this heartache and sorrow.

Help me, Father. Give me the grace to forgive.

Give me the grace to trust You. And all shall be well within my soul.

Because You brought joy, so much joy to my soul.

Lord, there is anger and anxiety present within me.

Cleanse me, purify me.

Help me to look up, to look to the rock higher than I.

May I be angry and not sin.

May my heart yield to Your Spirit.

Revive in me the joy of Your salvation.

Restore in me a right spirit, my Savior and my God.

Visit this poor man and set me free from my misery.

My offering is a broken heart.

I sacrifice my discouragement on Your holy altar. I am afraid.

I am worried.

Yet You are before me and You care for me. Why am I afraid? Hope in God.
