To Be Present With You

A psalm. Of David. April 7, 2021.

Happy are those whose strength is in You.

I will sing a song to the God of my life;

To the Lord, who sits enthroned above the earth.

All authority belongs to You, Jesus, all dominion on earth below and in the heavens above.

You are worthy to be praised.

You strengthen the weak and visit the needy.

You saw my heart and counseled me.

Forgive me for short handing Your goodness to me.

Grace me with faithfulness to You.

Encourage me and order my steps in Your word.

Jesus, I want to be at Your wedding banquet.

Even as a guest, no, a servant, serving wine and refilling cups.

Simply fo be present when Your compassion and love become one, when Your righteousness and faithfulness share their kiss.

When the birds sing songs of praise and the wind gently blows over the land. I want to be there to behold You.

I want to be in Your presence, my King and my God.

To see You in Your royal splendor as the King of Glory,

the God who created me intimately; who knows who I am.

I love You, Jesus, my Rock.

You are my sun.

You are the center of my being.

You are my shield and my shelter in a storm.

You protect me from disease and restore my body.

When anxiety attacks, You defend me.

You are my Warrior.

You are my keeper.

Happy are those whose strength is in You.
