Of David. June 19, 2020.
Though the earth may tremble
And the strong man fall,
Though the knowledgeable flee
And the sun refuse to shine,
Through life’s entrapment and trickery,
Through the dangers, toils, and snares,
I will trust in You, my Lord, and my God.
Your faithfulness reaches to the heavens,
Your goodness spans the earth.
The splendor of Your glory inhabits me.
Abide with me, and do not forsake me.
Though I do not possess all that I desire,
I shall not fear.
Do not worry about how it will work out—
Trust that it will.
The Lord is good and His love endures forever.
Seek His face in all that you do and He will delight in the steps you take.
Honor Him with your thoughts and desires; lay on His altar your worries and cares.
He will exchange them for joy and gladness. Peace and abundance will be your reward.
I will trust in the Lord until I die,
For He has been good to me.
Great is Thy faithfulness poured onto me.
